Results of a Hit and Run Accident

Last year, I was hit by a car while walking across a side street. The driver came flying around a corner at excessive speeds and I am guessing he never even saw me. He didn’t stop if he did. I was badly injured due to this accident and spent two months in the hospital. Now I have a large stack of medical bills and I can barely make the minimum payments on each one. My mom has suggested that I speak to a debt consolidation agency to see if they can help. They may be able to lower my payments to make this more manageable. I would love to find that driver and make him pay, but it doesn’t look like that is going to happen.
