Goldie Hawn campaigning for teaching breathing to relieve stress in schools

Hollywood actress Goldie Hawn is working to set up new schools to teach Buddhist values and breathing to relieve stress in schools. She’s already done this in America and now she’s working with the Tory party to start some in England.

She claims that the breathing exercises will help children to concentrate and improve their learning. Also, the stress relief they get from breathing exercises helps to decrease anger, hyperactivity and aggression.

Research into the effects of breathing in certain ways supports her claims. Slow breathing has proved to reduce stress, lower high blood pressure and relieve anger and anxiety. But they can do all this without being packaged with Buddhist ideology.
